iMhere for the
Apple iPhone/iPod touch
iMhere works so you don't have to!
Operation of iMhere is intuitive, but here are some quick pointers to get you started.
The Sounds
When the application opens, you will see a scrollable list of sounds grouped by type.
YOU MUST HAVE THE RINGER VOLUME TURNED UP TO HEAR THE SOUNDS!
If you are using an iPod touch, you must have some sort of external speakers (such as a speaker dock) ... it will play via your earphones, but where's the fun in that?

Tap on the sound name to hear a preview of what will be played.
Use the Slider to the right to choose how frequently you want this sound to be played.
A sound will be played ONLY if the slider is set to MORE THAN NEVER.
The Sliders are "touchy" and require a fairly precise fingertip, so be careful when choosing/sliding. It is pretty common to "miss" and not get a good "slide" the first time.Recording your own Sounds (iPhone ONLY!)
You can customize your iMhere by recording your own sounds. To do this, simply:
-
Scroll to the last category
-
Choose "RECORD" next to one of the user customizable sound "slots"
-
Record your new sound
-
Set the frequency with which you want it to play with the slider
- AN IMPORTANT NOTE: It is best to select a reasonable number of sounds to play during a session (suggested is less than 10). The reason for this is that if you pick a LOT of sounds, you will hear almost constant sounds, many sounds playing over each other, and possibly "run on" sounds, especially if all the sounds are on similar "frequency" settings.

Making iMhere Stand In for You
Once you've chosen all the sounds and their frequency, use the siders at the bottom of the screen to choose:

- Length to play: This will determine how long it will run
unattended. All the way to the right will cause iMhere to run
until you tap the screen.
- Delay before start: How long to wait before beginning to
play sounds randomly (according to the frequency you have set)
- Clear: This clears all the slider settings and rests
them the "NEVER".
- Start: Start running iMhere. The screen will go "black". TO STOP, SIMPLY TAP THE SCREEN ANYWHERE.
Again, The Sliders are "touchy" and require a fairly precise fingertip, so be careful when choosing/sliding. It is pretty common to "miss" and not get a good "slide" the first time
